Walden Family ServicesCynthia is an amazing young lady who is currently a participant of a transitional housing program for foster youth as well as her four siblings. Although she has been moved around three times throughout foster care, she has been diligent with obtaining high grades throughout high school, has participated in community outreach programs such as beautification, blood drives, and care packages for the homeless and the elderly. In addition to beginning her first year of college with hopes to become a business administrator, she works part time and hopes to save through budgeting wisely in order to help her younger siblings and herself with money. Although she has not had a stable home until joining our housing program, she is always smiling and thankful for the homes she has lived in, the families who have treated her with kindness and love, and for being granted the opportunity to study and work in the US.
Cynthia loves to study and spends most of her time doing online classes due to her school going remotely online due to the current pandemic COVID-19 safer at home restrictions. Cynthia has a small living space and limited areas to study which restricts her to study on the table. Cynthia could benefit from a lap desk to prevent wrist strain from typing, neck injuries from staring down at the laptop too often, and to allow her the ability to move around throughout the day when studying such as on the table, or on the soda, or even outside in the apartments patio.
