Janettee, who spent 12 years in foster care before aging out in 2000, now raises awareness of the plight of current and former foster children. Her own experiences of homelessness following aging out has led her to mentor and support other aging out/recently aged out youth in the hopes of helping them avoid that fate. She is a frequent guest on foster care blogs, has authored several poems, blogs, and articles, and is currently writing her autobiography. She also enjoys genealogy, and is currently trying to use DNA to unravel her family tree, which generations of foster care and adoption have made very difficult. Janettee is a SAHM to two children, as well as a bio mom whose oldest child was placed for adoption while she was suffering from homelessness.

Jeanettee just came down with the flu - and right before the holidays! She is stuck in bed for a while so she would love the chance to get some new DVDs so she can watch Christmas movies and still feel like she is part of the holiday season.
