UC Riverside Guardian ScholarsDewayne is a junior transfer student. He has had a rough upbringing, however, he is very persistent and resilient. Dewayne is an English major. He is still unsure what he wants to do after graduation, he is thinking about teaching, but we will see. One thing we all really like about Dewayne is his gregariousness and his ability to light up a room when we walks in. Dewayne has a bright future ahead of himself.
Aging out of the system is hard on any child. Since emancipating from foster care Dewayne has had many set backs, but he has finally gained admission into a university and plans to finish his studies. However, he needs some help with his first year expenses. Dewayne would be very grateful to receive a gift card to Barnes & Noble so he can buy books.
