Court Appointed Special AdvocatesKhadijah entered foster care in 2013 and faced many hardships. While she technically aged out of foster care when she turned 21, she continues to benefit from CASA's support. Khadijah is an incredibly motivated young woman and is pursuing higher education to work with children with special needs.
Jeanette is apart of a special group of young adults that we have served as their CASA advocates at some point, if not still working with them while in care. They are a cohort that we've trained and supervised to facilitate panel presentations around the city ( and even state) to share their stories of having been in the foster care system in hopes of creating change and reform.
