Court Appointed Special AdvocatesJeanette is a tenacious and resilient youth who aged out of foster care this year. She is a mother of three, 2 boys and 1 girl. A dedicated mother, Jeanette works hard to provide for her young family. She is going to school to finish her GED then she wants to become a social worker to help other young parents like herself.
Jeanette is apart of a special group of young adults that we have served as their CASA advocates at some point, if not still working with them while in care. They are a cohort that we've trained and supervised to facilitate panel presentations around the city ( and even state) to share their stories of having been in the foster care system in hopes of creating change and reform.
