Quasim is an incredible young man who, after spending much of his life in foster care, was just discharged from to live on his own with little family to speak of. Despite his hardships, Quasim has maintained a positive spirit and lights up the room with his smile and kindness. Quasim faces some challenges with his new independence but stays connected with CASA and has developed supportive relationships via peers, youth organizations and activities like dancing.

Quasim has some intellectual disabilities that make education and employment difficult for him but he is motivated and perseverent. As he leaves foster care, Quasim has new services in place to help him grow job training and various independent living skills and a laptop would help him greatly. Quasim is eager to develop his computer literacy!
