Angel is in the 6th grade and "kinda likes school". He tries hard but sometimes it is just to hard to sit still. Angel grew up in a very chaotic environment where he was exposed to domestic violence, physical and emotional abuse. Most days there was also substance abuse and neglect of Angels needs. He is a kind young man but suffers from Stress Related Disorders. He is currently placed with his biological father but there isn't a lot of educational and productive extra-curricular activities present. Angel loves food and loves jujitsu. He really would like to take a class for this someday. He has some friends but won't be seeing them all summer. He states that someday he would like a dog but knows that takes money so he will wait till he has a job. Angel loves his brother very much. The two of them have a special bond.

Carlos' father must work so now that summer is here, Carlos will not see his school friends nor will he be able to get to parks, programs or fun activities. Carlos does not want to sit at home all day, every day. He knows he will get in trouble with to much time on his hands. This summer program provides mentoring and sports activities that will keep him busy. Carlos can not wait to make new friends and have a ton of fun this summer!
