Karrigan is a former foster youth, but she doesn't want to let that define her. She is part of the small percentage of foster youth that attend college and I she is super proud that she is on track to graduate in Spring, 2020. When asked about something that makes her unique, Karrigan immediately said that she is "a creative". She loves using her past experiences as a way to speak with other people. She knows all too well how often foster children are labeled by the public, and how much harder they need to work in order to "make it". Even though she knows she will always have this label, she works hard never to feel patronized and balance the positives of telling her life experiences while celebrating her new life that she has built for herself. Her goal is to become a High School English teacher, which she chose because she loves to help students and to fuel their creative minds. She absolutely love drawing. Karrigan has been drawing for ten years and it has truly helped her through the lowest times in my life when she felt like giving up.

When talking about what this wish means to her, Karrigan immediately said, "This wish being granted would truly mean the world to me." She is super creative and loves how Apple products allow her to develop her skills and utilize tools that are the best in the industry - something she never had growing up and even most of her adult life so far. As a teacher, she will be able to create lesson plans and use other interactive tools that Apple offers in order to create a productive classroom environment. Creatively, she would like to move into digital art and try to take her creativity to the next level. More than anything, receiving this wish gives her hope. Hope to continue pursuing her dreams, and push her to motivate her to be the best person she can be.
