Lolo is currently enrolled in her first year of college, and is super proud that she got all A's in her first semester! She is a marine biology major and her goal is to one day be a shark biologist. She has been in and out of the foster care system her whole life, however, when she turned 14 her parents' rights were officially terminated. Following this, she moved from group home to group home, as well as lived in several different foster homes. This was incredibly challenging for her, but she says, "in the long run, moving made me a stronger and a more independent young woman." In addition to studying super hard in school, she is also involved in the guardian scholars program at school which is focused on helping foster youth transition and strive in college.

Although Lolo says growing up in the system made her stronger, she also says that it feels like she missed out a lot of her childhood. For as long as she can remember, she has been fascinated by the ocean; sharks in particular. This was the spark that promoted her to obtain her marine biology degree. She would love to go scuba diving and see all of the beauty under the water for herself, but of course she needs to be certified first. She would absolutely love the chance to take a scuba course where she will learn how to scuba dive, and take her on a trip in Catalina Island. Lolo said, "This would be something I would love and cherish forever and would help me in the future with my career."
