Amina has experienced abuse and neglect, and she has been removed from her mother's care and is now transitioning to living with her father. She has a sister and one brother. Amina has been learning to advocate for herself and be a kid her own age. Amina loves to sing and dance, and her favorite artist is Taylor Swift. Both Amina and her sister are trying to learn how to play the guitar. Amina is a very creative and adventurous girl. She loves to play outside with her siblings and is always helping her dad around the house when he needs it.

Amina is growing out of her clothes. Children at school constantly make fun of her clothes because they look dirty and old. Through Amina's move from her mom's house to her dad's home, she has lost a lot of clothes.
