Richard is Spanish speaking and is currently taking ESL classes. He is currently interested in working and getting his GED. He is also interested in learning a trade to help set himself up for success. He shared that his biggest dream is to work hard and earn enough money to take care of his family in Guatemala and provide financial support and donations to the children who live in his village.

Richard is practicing English regularly and hopes to be able to start taking GED classes soon. He is very nervous but is building his confidence as he achieves milestones in his ESL classes. Richard's ongoing issue is that his Chromebook is old and sometimes does not work. The screen freezes, and he has to restart the laptop regularly. Sometimes, when his classes are online, he has to log in from his phone because the camera on the Chromebook doesn't work, and it is slow. Richard is very dedicated to his learning and shared that he wants to get his GED to go to a trade school. He isn't sure what trade he wants to learn yet, but taking advantage of these opportunities is important to him so that he can succeed. A new laptop would mean so much to him and make his learning much easier.
