Deborah is from Los Angeles and raised in the foster care system. At the age of 11, she was hospitalized and then placed in foster care at age 13. Currently, Deborah's living in a shelter home through her ILP program and is enrolled at Rio Hondo College. She has a lot of passion for helping people and thinks she'd like to see her career move toward becoming an immigration lawyer. At the moment, Deborah's majoring in political science with a minor in social science. Deborah's strength and connection to her Christian faith help her navigate through the tougher parts of life. Her church and community bring a lot of joy to her.

Deborah is a full-time student and uses her phone for a lot of things like browsing the internet, watching educational programs, and listening to worship music. She's a hard worker and even completes her classwork on her phone! However, she sometimes feels that a TV would be more helpful for her to do most of these tasks and watch sermons from her church when she can't attend. Besides, Deborah has no transportation, so a TV with various apps would be a great companion for her. It would help her have some joy while studying and working towards finding a more permanent place to live, leaving her transitional housing.
