Mariah is a caring, independent young lady with a gift for cosmetology and helping others feel beautiful! While Mariah did not have much family support as she aged in foster care, she remained connected to her younger sister, who is her inspiration to be a better version of herself every day. Mariah aged out of the foster care system after the system was unable to locate a long-term placement option for her. Since then, she has worked hard to keep a roof above her head and to pay her bills without much guidance or support from adult role models. In the midst of aging out of foster care, she learned that she was pregnant. Now, Mariah has two inspirations to be her best self: her younger sister and her child. Her goal is to be the best mother and sister.

Mariah struggles to make ends meet while navigating life on her own. While she maintains a job to pay for housing and bills, she also continues to save in anticipation of the baby. Even with savings, Mariah will need additional support to purchase baby essentials. A gift card would be incredibly helpful in helping her purchase breastfeeding equipment. She will feel so much better if she has these things checked off of her list!
