Kristen is an aged out foster youth and now adoptive parent currently finishing graduate school to be a licensed clinical mental health counselor. She is a passionate advocate for positive changes in the system and loves each opportunity to help those behind her! After many years of fostering single she adopted a teen girl that came through her home and they are both creating a beautiful life together. After decades of extreme trauma and hardships Kristen is seeing the fruits of all the hard work and sacrifices she made to get this far.

Kristen has been diagnosed with multiple chronic illnesses and several affect her heart. Her team has recommended a service dog that is trained in cardiac alert and response. Having a service dog allow her to have more freedom and safety to continue going after all the wonderful things she has achieved.
