As a former youth impacted by the foster care system Winther believes in giving back and helping to empower foster youth to create opportunities for themselves through nonprofit and information science interests. With a fierce passion for Business and Entrepreneurship and a first generation graduate she is changing the trajectory of her family and upbringing of her son. Winther find joy from laughing till tears, her beautiful son, paying it forward, God and food! She believes that "To change your life, you must change your mindset" -Brad Turnbull. Winther is resilient, accepting and warm. A very resourceful and helpful spirit and know how attitude to support her family, friends and strangers with a deep commitment to public service. She received the "2022 Outstanding Young Leader Brilliant & Resilient Award Winner" award at Foster Club last year. Her achievements, skills along with my lived experience and genuine empathy for people make me a strong and successful leader.

As a first-generation graduate student at Columbia College Chicago, passionately pursuing a business and entrepreneurship for creatives program. I’m fundraising for an incredible opportunity to travel abroad to Paris, France, from January 8th to January 19th, 2024, for a specialized marketing course.
