Alexys entered foster care when she was 14 and it was a difficult time for her, but she is very grateful for the academic support she received that inspired her to pursue her career and work towards a master degree. Alexys has a full time job and is going to school full time as well. Her goal is to eventually become a Physical Therapist. Currently, she started a four year university to complete her BA degree in Psychology. In her free time she likes to work out and her favorite sport is boxing. She also enjoys traveling, art, and make-up. She loves to be in touch with her culture and embrace her heritage.

Every year since Alexys moved into her own place, she has been able to provide a nice, comfortable place for her family to come together for the holidays. Receiving a couch would take the worry off of her shoulders because she currently does not have many places for her family to sit. This would also give her a feeling of excitement to have her family over and be able to give them a comfortable living space where they could have fun and eat good food.
