Kaitlin likes to go on walks and has created lots of small goals for herself. She would like to start working, and one of her goals is to graduate high school early to go to college. She is highly self-motivated and wakes up early to do homework and help with the animals around the house. She and her best friend love to create "to-do" lists. Kaitlin also loves going to the park and cooking dinner. Even though Kaitlin has been through so much in her short life, she is full of love and life.

Before Kaitlin was placed with her foster family, she informed them that her old phone was broken and stolen by a stranger. She was very sad because it was a brand new phone that she had saved up for. At the moment, Kaitlin does not have a phone and it does make her foster family uneasy sending her to school without a way of connecting with her if anything happens. Her foster family would like Kaitlin to have a phone so she has a sense of independence, but also so that when she is out of the house with friends or walking around town, she could check in or call them in an emergency. Kaitlin and her foster family are extremely grateful for this opportunity, and it means so much to them to receive this assistance.
