Mejella is an adorable child who is new to her current resource home. She finds school to be boring, but she is willing to learn. She is willing to find the joy and happiness despite life is "boring" at times. The joy is found in the friends that she has met and wants to participate in the after school program. The resource family cannot help but immediately care for her as she finds happiness in the most mundane things such as eating with the family. She is initially quiet when talking with her, but she quickly becomes an engaging talkative child.

When Mejella moved into a new resource home, she was only able to grab a few things before she left. Thankfully, the county worker was able to contact the previous resource parent and attain her things. However, her favorite toy, her camper, arrived to Mejella broken. She enjoyed playing with this in the past when it was not broken. She still has the broken toy and looks so disheartened while she plays with it. She cherishes her toys and was heartbroken that her toy was damaged during this challenging transition.
