Shai spent 5 years in care. During this time, her biggest challenge was the uncertainty of services provided as well as what was to come next. Shai is a determined young woman who refused to become a stereotype or let her past determine her future. After being homeless for many years, Shai’s biggest accomplishment has been being able to maintain a home for her and her daughter. She strives to be the best mom she can to her daughter.
